Austrian pellets vs EU gas (delivered)

Monthly, EUR per MWh · pellets converted at 4.8 MWh / tonne · gas = wholesale (0.293 MWh / MMBtu, monthly USD/EUR) plus Eurostat household network cost (band D2, annual, EU27).

Reading it · Pellets historically trade at a premium to gas per MWh, but the spread compresses (or inverts) when gas spikes — as in 2022, when pellet demand surged and prices followed with a lag.
